Terms

Plain-English terms for using the site, its accounts, and its optional Premium layer.

These terms are intentionally readable and tied to the current product instead of pretending the site has a larger legal or operational system than it really does.

Use the site responsibly

Open Model Lab is an educational website. You may browse the public catalog, use the simulations, create or use an account, and contact support in ordinary ways.

Do not use the service to interfere with the site, scrape it aggressively, bypass product limits, abuse support paths, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours.

The service is educational, not professional advice

The content is meant to help people learn science concepts more clearly through explanations, worked examples, and simulations.

Do not treat the service as professional engineering, safety, medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes advice.

Accounts and Premium stay bounded

Signing in is optional. Signing in alone does not upgrade the account.

The current product offers one Premium subscription through Stripe, while the app itself still uses the existing bounded free-versus-premium entitlement model for access checks.

Do not misuse the service

Do not upload, submit, or send anything illegal, abusive, malicious, or deliberately misleading through the site or its support paths.

Do not use the product in ways meant to break the simulations, degrade availability, probe for security weaknesses, or create fake billing or support activity.

Site materials remain owned by the project

Open Model Lab and its published materials, including the site copy, simulations, visual assets, and authored learning content, remain owned by the project or its licensors.

You keep ownership of the feedback or messages you send, but you permit the project to review and use them to operate, improve, and support the service.

Access can change or end

The service may change, pause, or remove features over time, including Premium features, content coverage, and third-party integrations.

Accounts or access may be limited, suspended, or ended when needed to protect the service, other users, or the project.

Availability is not guaranteed

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Bugs, downtime, third-party outages, and billing or deployment issues can happen.

The project does not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free content, or fitness for every use case.

Service changes and third-party tools

Open Model Lab may change, remove, or rebalance features over time. That includes learning content, account features, and the selected discovery pages that can carry advertising on the free tier.

Some parts of the product depend on third-party services when they are enabled, such as Supabase for sign-in and sync or Google AdSense for advertising. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy materials.

Premium-specific billing, cancellation, and refund details are described on Billing.

For the current ad model, see Ads and sponsorship. For privacy details, see Privacy.
